For this installation, I was asked by Austin Art Alliance for their EAST party if I may supply a projection mapped installation. The requirements were very broad and taking the idea decided to invite my friend and collaborator Aaron Benavides to produce music for the installation and integrating a multi-speaker array into the project. We attached devices onto poster board that turned them into speakers and placed them above the long room. We mixed the audio to work spatially with the long room and to correspond with the visuals. From there we built an application in Unity to creative the visuals and tweak them in real time and used TouchDesigner to switch between audio and video and manage the multiple speaker array. The installation projections were done with two projectors(one hitting the far wall and one shooting the width of the room and hitting a mirror to shoot the image back at the viewer. We then a fog machine to take the shapes in the video and create 3D shapes in the environment that people could walk around and interactive with to mimic the spatial audio. The whole set up was placed and calibrated in the space in 6 hours and the project from conception to implementation took a week and a half.

These videos are part of a collaborating with Aaron Benavides(https://soundcloud.com/shadowsweat) to create an A/V installation. We were invited to project in a room in a Hostel for Austin Creative Alliance's annual art showcase. Aaron took the videos(3) and then created ambient tracks for them that were split over 4 speakers put above the attendees to create a spatial awareness of the video through the audio. Filling the room with smoke, the projections then surrounded the viewers by shooting through the space and bouncing off a mirror. Touchdesigner, Unity, and Ableton were used in this project.
